A CHOICE OF SIMPLICITY AND TRADITION FOR A DAY IN CONTACT WITH NATURE AND GOOD FOOD

The farm currently includes a short-term parking area for campers and caravans, combined with the offer of overnight stays in characteristic houses mounted on agricultural wagons and positioned on the bank of the lake.

CAMPER PARKING AREA

A large lawn, equipped with columns for electricity, supply and drainage, can accommodate campers and caravans for a short stay at our farmhouse. It is perfect for travellers, bicycle tourists or for those who just want to spend a day close to nature, maybe enjoying the specialties of the restaurants in the village. The Borgo di Riazzolo (Riazzolo Village), which is just over 15 minutes from the Bisceglie Milan underground station, is home to two very well-known restaurants: both the Cascina Riazzolo restaurant (www. agriturismoriazzolo.com) and the Rio del sole tavern are perfect for spending a cheerful evening in good company or for a family lunch out of town. The large green spaces give children the possibility to play on the lawns and adults to relax while enjoying the restaurants' products, if they wish.

GLAMPING

We provide nature lovers with overnight stays in our mobile homes located on the bank of the lake. Despite being surrounded by a rural context, the mobile homes have all the comforts: double bed, bathroom with shower, air conditioning, TV, fridge and kettle. The mobile homes are built on agricultural wagons, modeled on the traditional English Shepherd's huts used by shepherds when raising sheep and giving birth to lambs. The first literary mention of a shepherd's hut dates back to 1596. In the second half of the 19th century, the use of huts was frequent on the flatlands of southern England, but it then decreased in the 20th century with the advent of mechanized agricultural machinery.

Le casette, anche se inserite completamente nel contesto agreste, dispongono di tutti i comfort. All’interno, letto matrimoniale, bagno con doccia, condizionatore, Tv, frigorifero e bollitore. Le case mobili sono costruite su carri agricoli, su modello delle tradizionali Shepherd’s hut inglesi utilizzate dai pastori durante l'allevamento delle pecore e il parto degli agnelli. La prima menzione letteraria di una capanna di pastori risale al 1596. Nella seconda metà del XIX secolo, l’uso delle capanne era frequente nelle pianure dell'Inghilterra meridionale. Diminuì poi nel XX secolo con l'avvento delle macchine agricole meccanizzate.
